Ammonium chloride, is a kind of inorganic substance, chemical formula is NH4Cl, is refers to the ammonium salt of hydrochloric acid, mostly for the by-product of alkali industry. Containing nitrogen 24% ~ 26%, white or slightly yellow square or octahedral small crystals, powder and granular two dosage forms, granular ammonium chloride is not easy to absorb moisture, easy to store, and powder ammonium chloride is more used as the basic fertilizer of compound fertilizer production.
Industrial ammonium chloride is white powder or granular crystal, odorless, salty and cool. Easy to absorb moisture agglutination, soluble in water, soluble in glycerin and liquid ammonia, difficult to dissolve in ethanol, insoluble in acetone and ether, at 350℃ sublimation, aqueous solution is weak acid.
Application
Ammonium chloride is a versatile technical salt that is e.g. used for the production of dry-cell batteries and cleaning agents. Furthermore, ammonium chloride serves as acidity regulator in animal food or as an additive for the tanning of leather.
