①Coating film forming aids: Texanol is an excellent Coating film-forming aids. Compared with other film-forming additives, its low freezing point can effectively reduce the film-forming temperature of latex paint and promote film-forming. Excellent wet film properties can improve the film-forming properties of latex paints and stabilize the paint, thereby improving paint adhesion, flatness, brightness, scrub resistance, sag resistance and leveling. Texanol is a water-insoluble glycol ester solvent with good hydrolytic stability. It is a strong solvent for latex polymers with high coalescence properties. So it is an ideal film-forming aid.

④Other uses: The by-product TMPD of Texanol has repellent effect on mosquitoes, flies and parasites.It can also be used as a raw material for synthetic fragrances. In printing inks, it is resistant to moisture and can be used as a binding solvent to replace diethylene glycol.
